Celtic legend has
it that a beautiful, mysterious lady had to steal away into a misty moonlit night to flee execution by an enemies blade. She was
able to escape safely by covering herself with a magical cloak which gave
her the gift of invisibility. She made it back to her kingdom where she told
her plight to her Brother the King. He then asked how she escaped, and she told
the tale of her magical cloak of invisibility.
The King called the very best seamstresses of the land, to make
exactly, more of the mystical cloaks. He commanded that they make enough for the
entire army of the kingdom.
A call to arms
of all his armies went out and, with the help of his Sister's directions,
went to attack the enemy. The King's army attacked at dawn. The enemy forces were stunned.
They could hear an army, but all they could see were columns of
horses with what seemed to be ghostly riders. Upright Cloaks holding sword and
lance with nobody wearing them.
The enemy quickly retreated, screaming with fear, and were never seen
again.
